  • Adult audiobooks, books (except new), and music CDs – 25 cents per day, maximum $10 per item
  • Teen books and audiobooks – 10 cents per day, maximum $5 per item
  • All DVDs – 50 cents per day, maximum $5 per item
  • All magazines – 10 cents per day, maximum $5 per item
  • Interlibrary loan (from outside NCLS service area) – $1 per day, maximum $10 per item

The following exceptions are made:

  • Children’s materials do not accrue any fines.
  • Teen patron accounts will not accrue any fines.
  • Senior patron accounts will not accrue any fines.
  • Interlibrary loan fines will still apply to all patrons.

Library privileges are suspended when your balanced owed reaches $2.

Separate from fines, a bill will be charged to a patron’s account for reasons including, but not limited to, damaged, long overdue, or lost items. Bills apply to any patron’s account regardless of fine-free status.

Avoid fines by returning items on time or contacting the library to renew materials. You can renew:

  • by logging into our online catalog. Sign in using your library card number (13 digits under the barcode) and your PIN (last 4 digits of phone number unless you’ve already reset it).
  • by calling 315-785-7705 and speaking to a staff member at the Circulation Desk.
  • by visiting the library in person and chatting with a staff member.

Items may be renewed a maximum of 2 times with the following exceptions:

  • Items with patron holds will not be renewed.
  • New materials and all DVDs may be renewed only once.
  • Interlibrary loan materials (from outside of the NCLS service area) will not be renewed).
