Talkin’ About My Generation: Rock & Roll in the North Country [a Panel Discussion]

July 29 @ 5:45 pm - 7:45 pm

Free

You’re invited to a panel discussion on the early history and experience of rock & roll in the North Country. This event kicks off a week-long celebration and will feature musicians from the local music scene in the 1960s and ’70s as well as from today. The panelists will take a deep dive into why Watertown and surrounding areas gave rise to so many talented musicians, and they will also explore what sparked this inspiring growth.

Held in the library’s South Reading Room. Doors open at 5:30. Seating is limited and is first come, first served.

Panelists for this event include:

  • Mark Prentice, Grammy-award winning Nashville-based studio musician
  • Phil Rowland, drummer and studio/touring musician
  • Tom Murray, drummer, artist, and retired school teacher
  • Joseph Foy, musician and President of HarmoNNY
  • Claudia Wool Marsh, vocalist
  • Kathy Michael, vocalist
