A national library of factual information on 40,000 candidates for public office including President of the United States to state legislature to local elected officials, covering them in five basic areas: backgrounds, issue positions, voting records, campaign finances and performance evaluations made by over 100 liberal to conservative special interest groups. In addition PVS interviews presidential, congressional, gubernatorial and state legislative candidates and provides special services on issues for journalists, teachers, and students.

State and Local Government on the Net is a frequently updated directory of links to government sponsored and controlled resources on the Internet. It was created by Piper Resources, an Internet publishing firm, which has been providing the guide to the public for five years.
